About

The Population and Social Policies Research and Application Center was established within Marmara University in order to contribute to data-driven scientific research aimed at enhancing social welfare. The Center aims to conduct data-based research with an interdisciplinary approach in its focus areas, to carry out reputable scientific studies on population and social policies at the international level, and to contribute to researchers’ acquisition of knowledge and skills.

Contributing to the enhancement of social welfare through data-driven scientific research is among its primary objectives. It aims to become a center of excellence where reputable scientific studies on population and social policies are conducted at the international level. Conducting original data-based research on population and social policies through an interdisciplinary approach; contributing to the development of knowledge and skills of researchers working in the field of population and social policies; and collaborating with stakeholders such as public institutions, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations to help solve social problems and enhance social welfare are among the Center’s priorities.
